Revised budget: FG cuts health, UBE votes.

Published Jun 3, 2020

According to the Punch Newspaper, the Federal Government of Nigeria has proposed a reduction of Primary Health Care Centres’ fund from N44.4bn to N25.5bn and Universal Basic Education budget from N111.7bn to N51.1bn in the revised 2020 budget.

In a time of a global pandemic like the COVID-19 where the education and health sectors in the country are barely standing, reducing their budgets would further kill these sectors.

This is why we are calling on you today as an active citizen, to send a message to the President of Nigeria, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives not to cut the budgets of these sectors.

Dear @MBuhari @DrAhmadLawan @femigbaja, I'm writing to you as a concerned citizen to please do not reduce 2020 education and health budgets for the sake of my future. The decisions you take now would affect my future positively or negatively. Thank you
