What is your TRACK RECORD?
Published Jul 20, 2021
In Nigeria, politicians and public servants always aspire to climb the public service ladder. We have Governors (elected officials) who aspire to serve as a Senator having served out his maximum term of 8 years whilst we have seen Ministers (appointed public servants) aspire to serve either as Governor or Senator. A good example is the current Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon. Chibuike Amaechi once served as the Rivers State Governor for 2 Consecutive terms, whilst his successor once served as a Federal Minister before becoming Governor.
The QUESTION we ask is this?
Who measures their PERFORMANCE whilst they served as Governors or Federal Ministers?
What was their IMPACT whilst serving?
What track record did they leave behind?
What is the story or motivation behind their seeking a higher portfolio or continuous public service?
Through our Governance Barometer Project, we are monitoring and measuring the performance of elected Political leaders and appointed Public Servants by holding them accountable in the course of their service and stewardship to the citizens of Nigeria, thereby keeping them on their toes to deliver Good Governance, Transparency, and Accountability in service.
We kindly solicit your financial support to keep this Public Accountability Project running. Through your financial support, we can DEMAND public service that is anchored on QUALITY, INGENUITY, and EXCELLENCE.
