DONATE TO SAVE NIGERIAN YOUTHS FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Substance abuse in Nigeria has become a public health concern. The prevalence of substance abuse is between 20 and 40%. Of that, 20.9% of drug abuse is among students and young people. This is of significant concern in Nigeria. The various drugs abused are heroin, diazepam, codeine, cough syrup, tramadol, cannabis, cocaine, and amphetamine.

During the first decades of my life, the places where people called “joints,” which is a place where most of these drugs are sold, were so few. Today, the reverse is the case: there is no street you will pass in Ibadan where these “joints” are not present. This has resulted in all these substances being nearer to most households than usual. Children between the ages of 10 and 12 years are exposed to all these things early in their lives. Is there a solution to this menace in society?

Part of our effort as an organization is to create awareness and educate and train youths in Nigeria on overcoming substance abuse in our society. We need your support for this program to train 100 youths to overcome and assist others living with substance abuse.

Please help us with our cause on this program. Thank you.
