Who do you consider as the best governor in Nigeria since the pandemic?

Published Sep 15, 2021

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on democracy, the rule of law and human rights is becoming, even more, a focus of international attention. There are increasing concerns about governments’ potential abuse of emergency powers and the disproportionate consequences of such measures on the already marginalized communities and minorities.

Since the Coronavirus outbreak began, gender-based violence has surged, and inequality and poor service delivery worsened. The rights of women, ethnic minorities, youth, disabled people, poor people, and other vulnerable populations are even more neglected or violated.

COVID-19 is not an excuse for human rights and the rule of law violations or an excuse to improvise citizens. How well has your state government done in relation to other state governments?
