Like every year, the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is celebrated on 6 February. FMG involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia or other injuries to the female genital organs without medical reasons. This practice is internationally recognized as a violation of the human rights of children, girls, and women.
